The Bleddyn royal family began in Wales after the Romans occupied Wales since before Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, Jerusalem. The first King of Wales was King Bleddyn ap Cynfun of North Wales. He and his brother, Rhiwallon, until his brother was killed in a battle. King Bleddyn ap Cynfun then became sole heir to the throne from 1062 to 1068. It seems from that point on, many provinces of Wales were ruled by other kings up until Wales formed a partnership with England to have military support and a place in the English Parliament in 1569-1572. The son of Owain of Gwynedd, Prince Madog Bleddyn, set sail with several ships in 1120 to seek a "New World." He first landed in what is now Maryland and lived among the Native American Indians, teaching them the Welsh language. On a second trip, he sailed in 1122 around Florida to Mobile, Alabama. In reality, Prince Madog Bleddyn became the first discoverer of America by about 400 years earlier than Christopher Columbus before Columbus was even born
