A new fan is born

I picked up one of Robin's books on a whim. Within 6 weeks I have them all and love them as best friends. She writes in a style that flows easily from one story to the next. You can see the connection with characters in the previous books forming with the new characters. I loved this book with the twin angle and the surprise character in the end. I am waiting with baited breath for the next!

Another winner

I simply love this series and because I can hardly wait for the next one, I don't like reaching the end of the current one. I really enjoyed that this one had a somewhat different approach, in that we had 3 new Exotiques show up in this book. As with the other Exotique books, I enjoyed seeing how they dealt with living on a new world, in a new culture. This series is a treasure! I recommend this book and the others that make up the series as one that has it all.

Excellent addition in to a neat series

Exploring Llandrana has definitely been ride, and the latest chapter with Bri and Elizabeth doesn't disappoint. There are more twists, an unexpected direction taken, some emotional moments and a new flying/riding creature. What more can a person ask for? Ms. Owens keeps her audience entertained and enthralled as usual - her character development is wonderful and her world creation is top-notch. Waiting until 2009 for the next book is going to be tough.

Still enjoying the ride

Just finished Keepers of the Flame ... I laughed, I cried and was happily surprised. This book did not feel like a cookie cutter version of the previous novels, which I appreciate. Robin D. Owens left me satisfied but at the same time feeling that 2009, when the next book is due, is as far away as magical Lladrana. I can't wait!

The Summoning continues

Keepers Of The Flame Owens continues her tales of Llandrana with twins, Bri and Elizabeth, who have healing gifts. In this the fourth book in the series, the Dark has created diseases to attack the Llandranans, as well monsters. At the end of the twins' story, a second story is appended - the 5th woman from Earth has been in Llandrana for some time, but this "Exotique" has not been greeted with accolation but rather with obsessive hatred. Interesting twists in this very readable series.
