nice book

karen is very smart and her intelligence is awarded in this book when she wins the spelling bee, but she let's the fame get to her head too much and proclaims herself queen karen!!! now THIS is what you call a self-proclaimed queen. In other words, michael jackson is the king of pop, not the self-proclaimed king like you stupid media claim! got it? good! and get this book too, it's nice!

A great book filled with excitement!

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys books that have a lot of action in them. I only wish the author would make her books more realistic. It is not very likely for a second grader to become the most succesful junior speller in her state, and karen seems to have unusual luck in contests in a number of Ann M. Martin's novels. Overall, I really liked it and I think you will too!
