Everyone has issues, even the bad guys.

Review summary: Full of action and such a fun read as usual. Nothing particularly special, just a solid volume with a cool evil twin mini arc! Full review: It's been a while since I picked this series up, and right off the bat, I was reminded how much of a fun, action-packed series this is. I did forget, though, how simple the names for the weaponry and attacks are, but I also feel like it's intentional for the defense force since that probably helps activate their suits easier. Simple = quick. The kaiju designs are really cool, and I loved the evil twin for Kikoru; that was an interesting way for her to process some of her grief and expectations for herself. Kikoru wasn't the only character that got spotlight time in this volume, but she was the one with the most growth and coolest plot, in my opinion. I'm looking forward to reading where this goes, especially with the insane cliffhanger here, and also that the series ends at sixteen volumes. I'm already salivating to know how the war between humans and kaiju will end.
