An alternate universe? A different dimension? The "id" of America? Meet Anslenot and his tormentor/confident, a giant tarantula, as they wander through a blasted, desecrated landscape of broken ideals... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I picked this book up after reading Final Trick of Funnyman. This book does not disappoint. I particularly enjoyed Kafka's Uncle as a novelette. The conversations between the spider and Anselnot are hilarious. This book is worth getting just for the main story. The author has an insightful message about the wackiness of modern America, its crass commercialism, and its crazy politics. After you've had the main course, there is a treasure trove of wonderful treats for your reading pleasure. The inspiring tales tumble and twist like a fanciful boiling river of marvelous ideas from this magnificent writer. I can't wait for Bruce's next book. I will be sure to buy it. This man is an undiscovered gem, please do yourself a favor and acquaint yourself with these marvelous stories.
