As Sally dived in the back door of Oakley House she noticed a common sparrow trying to shelter under the leaves on a small tree down the path. Sally had always loved sparrows. She thought them industrious little birds, darting here and there, singing merrily at their work. She felt they were much like herself, only there was one big difference, they could fly away.....away anywhere they liked......when they liked... unlike Sal.
