Fascinating and informative

In this fascinating book, Professor Nicholas de Lange, University of Cambridge, introduces the reader to Judaism. Beginning with the question, "Who is a Jew?" the author examines the history and traditions (and the history of traditions) of the modern Jews. This is a fascinating and informative book, one that does not present Judaism using Christian thought-forms, but presents Judaism in its own understanding. If you want one book that will give you a good understanding of Judaism, then this is the book for you.
