inspiring

I too received this book as a gift while in Japan; I pull it out often when I need inspiration. I pulled it out today after learning that the son of a good friend has suffered a spinal inury and may be paralyzed from the neck down. This book is simple, beautiful, and very moving. The poetry and the illustrations convey the full emotion of Hoshino's experience and his love of beauty.

This is one of the most thought-provoking and sweet books I have ever read. I recieved it as a gift when I went to Japan. I have enjoyed this book very much, and I highly reccomend it.
