John Robert "Joe" Cocker, OBE, born in 1944 on 20th May, in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, UK, was a singer and musician. Joe was known for his gritty voice, spasmodic body movement when performing and definitive versions of popular songs of several genres. Cocker's cover of the Beatles, "With a Little Help from My Friends" topped the UK charts in 1968.
