Jihadisme, a war against the West ?

Islamist terrorism has been rampant in the West for several years. Jihadists" have already caused hundreds of deadly attacks in Europe and North America, killing thousands. But can we say that Islamist terrorism is a "holy war" against the Christian West, whose ultimate goal is to conquer the world? The reality is much more complex than that. Indeed, on the one hand, Islamists commit their acts mainly in Muslim territory, as we will see in this book. Also, terrorism, as a technique of warfare, cannot be a serious and sufficient solution to "conquer the world". But, above all, the terrorists themselves have given us the reasons that drive them to commit attacks in the West: Western interventions in the Middle East. Through a surgical study of data and statistics on global terrorism, as well as an analysis of the little-exploited Islamist literature, the author deconstructs, throughout this book, the ethnocentric lie that jihadism is a "holy war" between Islam and Christianity.
