A Book for the Economist with a Soul

Jesus Entrepreneur by Laurie Beth Jones is a book for economists with a soul. The type of economist who is entirely concerned with pluses and minuses has become abundant in today's society. Along with their increase in number, books for their appeal have also increased. This has persisted to the point where many economic books say nearly the same things. That is why this book by Jones is a breath of fresh air for the tight-collared, worldly business man or woman. It is not only for Christians. The morals discussed in Jesus Entrepreneur can be accepted across the world. Some, if not all, are Christian morals, but not too extreme to where the normal human being couldn't accept them. The main objective of this book is to bring moral reckoning to a job that can lure its workers away from such ethics. The economy was always thought of as being concrete, black and white - no room for ethical standards. Jones has made room, and shows us how to work within physical, and spiritual boundaries. This book is helpful to all types of economists, Christian or non-Christian, as long as they like being successful (like I said, all economists). Also, one need not be an economist to enjoy this optimistic book which gives light to a profession that may need it. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in becoming successful in spirit and in their profession.

Helped me realize what my goal is

I bought this book for a school project and I couldn't put it down. It's so easy to read. As a high school senior trying to decide what to do for the rest of my life this book really helped me put things in order. It helped me see that "Jesus' definition of success was 'to do the will of God.'" I loved the examples within the chapters of how people had applied these tips to their life. The questions at the end of each chapter were good but didn't really apply to me or help me. Overall I would definitely reccomend this book to people. Especially if you are struggling to find a job that suits you. This book really helps you put your values into persepective and realize that you will be the most successful if you pursue that job that makes you happiest and brings you closest to God.

Ancient Wisdom For Today's Entrepreneur

There's a new breed of entrepreneur emerging in the business world. One who is interested in promoting their deepest personal and spiritual beliefs, as well as their products and services. They are the ones who launch a business that not only showcases their talents, but also benefits others. Laurie Beth Jones, the best-selling author of Jesus CEO, calls this new breed of leaders "Spiritreneurs", and has dedicated this book to keeping their dreams alive. The ultimate role model for the Spiritreneur is Jesus Christ, whose leadership style as told in the Bible, incorporated His talents, gifts, and His desire to do well by doing right. According to the author, you are a "Spiritreneur" when you are committed to establishing a business that is a true reflection of your spiritual and personal beliefs. In the coaching profession we call this `authenticity", that which is a true reflection of oneself. Using Christ as the focal point, we learn how to become real Spiritreneurs. What did He do that made Him the most successful entrepreneur and leader in the world? A few important facets of His life are covered int his book:He heeded the call to Spiritreneurship, During the early days He established His identityHe was a VisionaryLaurie Beth Jones takes each of these qualities and expounds upon them with relevant Biblical facts that pertain to today's entrepreneur. I came away from this reading experience with a deeper appreciation of the legacy Christ has left for us to follow. His life was the ultimate model of leadership, and of someone who launched, and lived His dream.5 Stars. Highly recommended
