Entertainingly written by Rainey, and enhanced with the artwork of Betsy Dill, Jerome's Jam is a thoroughly delightful picturebook about a young boy, who is troubled by the addition of a baby sister to his family. But Jazz the DreamDog teaches him about the fun and joy that comes from welcoming a new family member and teaching her all about life. A happily illustrated, energetic, lively children's picturebook with an abiding message, Jerome's Jam is especially recommended for school and community library picturebook collections.

Nevertheless, when the baby comes home, Jerome comes to understand just how important he is as the big brother.
