Jasnathi Sampradaya: Founder, Philosophy & Fire-Dance

Shri Dev Jasnathji took avatar on Kartik Shukla Ekadashi in Vikram Samvat 1539 and done severe penance by sitting on one seat at the place called Gorakhmaliya in village Katriyasar (Bikaner) for twelve years . He gave his sermons in local & simple dialect of marwari to the simple & poor peasants community. He founded the Jasnathi-Sampradaya, which emphasizes on practicing 36 principles for leading an elevated life . By adopting these principles, his followers also realized their true ownselves, and despite leading a family life, whatever they said," came true, and hence, they were called Siddhas". This book specifically highlights Jasnathji's biography and key events related to him, his teachings, and the fire-dance (which is the distinctive identity of the Jasnathi sect). It is hoped that the learned and knowledgeable readers and members of the sect will offer constructive suggestions if any fact needed to be reviewed based on their research or knowledge. It is also hoped that the book will satisfy readers' curiosity about Jasnathi Sect and its singing, instruments playing & fire dance practices and will draw inspiration from the life and teachings of Shridev Jasnathji to improve their lives.
