FOLLOW-UP TO WHEN MORNING COMES

this is the story of Dr. Margaret Matthews who was introduced to us in WHEN MORNING COMES, a close friend of Brooke McCloud. She is tired of being held to seeing a certain number of patients by her fellow doctors. She was not geared to meeting a quota. A shadow-haunted man from Kentucky came to Oregon to find a doctor the practice in the hills of Kentucky. Preferrably a single, young man. Dr. Maggie was built on the small side to handle an injured or sick hefty man from the hills. Yet this feisty little lady was touching a whole lot of hearts in his isolated town. Where was Keys Hollow anyway? No matter how much Jake tried to discourage Maggie, she very quietly went about her business, ignoring a bit of his advice but listening to some of it. She didn't listen to him when he warned her about the stray wild dog hanging about. She was soon learning to find her way about the Hollows without him which was not safe. She was bringing in a bit of education to the women, which was not safe either. Slowly Maggie was teaching Jake that he couldn't live with guilt forever and he would have to put his past behind him soon. Especially as their hormones were kicking in strong. A very nice gentle read - with enough angst in it and a bit of a rough house husband to make trouble. A wife who had had enough abuse. Definitely Recommended --M
