Heart touching story of a Down syndrome girl

I am a caregiver for Jackie, who is now in her mid 50s. I enjoyed the book her now deceased dad wrote about her earlier life. I was amazed to learn so much about someone who has become dear to me. It was written to encourage other parents of special needs children at a time nothing positive was out there for them. When the doctor (in the 1960s) told her parents to put her in an institution right after birth, they decided to bring her home and give her love and opportunities to overcome some of her deficits. This story will touch your heart.
