Like Visiting an Old Friend

Some of these old-timers can pick you a gourmet meal off the forest floor. Some can take a rusted wreck and restore a mint-condition classic car. Some can take a box of old electronic parts from a junk store and build a radio telescope. Jack Kestner was a writer...not just a journalist or a reporter, though he was that as well.
