Jack finds y

By DH Smith

Jack finds y features Jack Bell, a Forest Gate builder. Up a ladder, pricing for new guttering, he sees a loose tile on the roof. Suspecting that rain will be coming in, he goes up to the top flat with the landlord. There, they find the body of a young woman.

Working in the house, Jack investigates who might be the killer, becoming involved with one of the tenants, Jean, a taxi driver. But she is a suspect too, having a criminal record, in this flotsam of a house. A dangerous house to work in, Jack soon discovers.
