Ivy the Magnificent is about a wondrous garden. A little girl tends to this garden, but the flowers come alive when she's there. Lily, Daisy and Rose grow in the garden and are very beautiful and fragrant. They feel they are more beautiful than the wildflowers that grow beyond the garden on the hill. Over time, they become curious about the wildflowers and their freedom. The flowers do not seem to notice Ivy, who also grows in the garden. Ivy feels lonely. Will the flowers in the garden include Ivy? Will the girl help? This is a wonderful story for children about inclusion and being true to yourself. This is a must read for teachers to read in schools as a mentor text when teaching character.
