Great Advice

Being a teenager, this book was full of great information. The book has insight that alot of teens miss or aren't aware of, while encouraging young girls to set high standards in relationships. I've read the book more than once and it gets better every time! It was refreashing to see a book that takes into account the way a man dresses, treats others and respects his family as a reflection of his character and faith. I have recommended this book to my friends and i think every girl should read it!

Avoid Mr. Wrong

My teenage daughter got this book on somebody's recommendation, so I read it too. It claims to be a girl's guide to finding "Mr. Right." It was more of a girl's guide to avoiding "Mr. Wrong." Of course avoiding "Mr. Wrong" is very important. This book begins with a discussion about wisdom and life and courtship versus dating. Then there is The Test, which covers many different areas from attitude to career to family and friends. Girls SHOULD not need this book to avoid choosing losers. Unfortunately, many girls have no clue what makes the difference between a MAN and a boy in men's clothing. Watch any romance movie on the market today. Most of the "heroes" are great looking guys who would score an F on this test. Yet in the movie every thing works out great. Not in real life. Many young girls I have known were more interested in whether a guy is cute and fun at a party. I know first hand that marrying a man who flunks this test will bring only grief, pain, divorce, and financial hardship. This goes for both the girl herself, and any children which come so commonly from relationships with guys. I will be glad if this book reinforces the advice I already give, and helps my teen to avoid "Mr. Wrong."

Great advice

This book is short and easy to read but has a lot of great advice for those searching for "Mr. Right." It would make a wonderful gift.

Helpful, Insightful Advice

As a parent, this is a book I want my daughter to read before she begins the process of finding Mr. Right. While no man (or woman) is perfect, the guidelines given could save you from wasting your time on the wrong guy, or making a mistake that could affect the rest of your life. The test gives an opportunity to truly consider whether those "little things" add up to enough to kill a relationship, or can be overlooked in light of all his outstanding characteristics.

A Must Read For Parents

"Is He A Man Or Just Another Guy?" should be part of every family's parenting "toolbox." Do you have a daughter(s)? This book will help to raise their level of expectations in a relationship. Do you have a son(s)? This book provides a map to move a boy from guyhood to manhood. I do not know of another book in the marketplace that so thoroughly and completely explores the subject of mate selection. Although my daughters are still quite young, they will have a copy of this book waiting for them when it's time to start looking for Mr. Right.
