Pretty good as an overview

Read this book for a psycholinguistics class. It was good as an overview of the three fields from which SLA can be approached. As a psychology student, I was especially interested in the chapter focused on that area and found it to be decent. As the title makes clear, this is an introductory book that is necessarily limited in content. It's easy to read and provides many references for the interested reader to peruse and gain more knowledge about a given subject matter. Overall, it's a good starting point to understanding the important concepts in this field.
