Our society is judged by the way it treats its most vulnerable members. Every individual is regarded as a valued, integral and recognised part of our society. Although a great deal has already been done to promote integration since the 1990s, the aim for the future is to work towards inclusion. Integration means accepting people with intellectual disabilities into our society, whereas inclusion aims for a society in which everyone lives together on an equal footing, with equal rights for all. Companies have a social responsibility to view the diversity and differences among potential employees as an asset and a source of strength.
