An Excellent Resource for Students

I bought this for my classroom. It's a fun little history that is, as far as I can tell, historically accurate. The story itself is exciting, and will keep students engaged, while there are many accessible vocabulary words, and historical fact, referenced in the margins. The book also includes and esaily read map of China at the time, and a timeline for the era. This book has been a favorite for the struggling readers in my class. The main character is a Shen, a young boy who is drafted into becoming the zither player for the Emperor of China. This is the 1st emperor of the Qin dynasty and the man responsible for uniting China. Shen is quickly wrapped up in an assassination conspiracy. The art is also easy on the eyes, and good for struggling readers. I recomend this for anyone who teaches struggling readers, or for above average very young readers.
