A delicious romantic suspense

Emma and Kara Shayne are identical twins. However, though they look alike, their personalities are total opposites of one another. Emma is shy and sweet, which makes her everyone's favorite, especially her mother. Kara is dark, dangerous, and enjoys living on the edge. The two sisters successfully switch identities because they're natural actresses who easily and accurately portray their mirror self. While playing in the desert north of Santa Fe, the twins meet Mike Greywolf, an injured half-breed trapped in a cavern. Emma tries to help Mike, but gets hurt. Kara deserts them. Emma and Mike are already attracted to one another, but it takes years before they are mature enough to share any intimacy. However, that night Kara fools Mike into thinking she is Emma, who sees them making love together. Mike knows his lust betrayed his love for Emma. Worse yet is that one of the twins, apparently Kara, has given birth to a girl that Mike raises by himself. Fourteen years later, circumstances force Mike and Emma to confront an evil that has apparently killed Kara and coming for them next.Stories centering on good and evil twins have been done numerous times, but rarely as well as Ann Major does it in INSEPARABLE. The complex story line is told in two parts, fourteen years apart. Surprisingly that adds to the overall suspense. The three prime characters feel genuine and their tangled triangle seems real as even the twins have distinct personalities. The support cast adds insight into the three lead players that help add to the reader's understanding of the tale. Fans who can forget Bette Davis for a moment will gain much pleasure from this major work of romantic suspense.Harriet Klausner
