Great book by a great mathematician

J. Backhouse's work is truly inspirational and this is no exception. The book is wonderfully written and truly reflects backhouse's easy, commanding style. The chapters are concise and easy to read, and Backhouse uses his pure genuis to bring the reader to new levels of understanding. His refreshing teaching stylr also compliments the book and this is probably due to his views on practice makes perfect. Any person who stumbles across this book should read on, and learn all about the backhouse phenomenon that is sweeping the world ( or the floor of whitgift mathematical department anyway!). J.
