Through examples, ideas, and suggestions, this book shows readers how to raise their self-esteem and self-confidence as they learn to change out-of-date beliefs. This easy-to-read inspiring book... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a great book for dealing with issues of self-esteem and poor body image. It is simple enough to be beneficial to young readers, but also very appropriate for adults who suffer from eating disorders or body image issues. The book successfully shows where these negative messages about the correlation of size and self-image originates. I owned and operated an eating disorder treatment center for 10 years and would highly recommend this book to anyone having difficulty in this area of your life.
Impressive

As a survivor of anorexia, this book took me on an incredible journey of self-discovery. Not only is it fun to work with, it is written in a way that didn't make my mind wander into bad places. These two women have written an incredibly patient book that is a must for people wondering where to go from here.
"Imagine Me..." Informs on Several Levels
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 19 years ago
This is a very informative introduction into the Imagine Me series and operates on many levels. It is easy to read and appropriate for younger readers struggling with, or beginning to encounter, issues dealing with body image and feelings of self worth. But don't be fooled by the almost simplistic sentence structure of the first portion of the book. The second portion provides a wide range of examples of common, and not so common, issues for both children and adults. This is a must read for children dealing with body issues, their parents or guardians, and adults who have wrestled with similar issues either as children or later in life. This book, in my opinion, is not an end all, be all, for people coping with body image issues. It is, however, one of the best overviews dealing directly with this subject I have read. It goes straight to the problems of family and society and offers practical self image solutions. I am anxious to read their upcoming work. Darren Krehbiel, PE, PLS
