A Great Book!

"I'll See You In My Dreams," by Ilene Cooper, is about a girl named Karen, and a boy named Mark. Karen had dreams of her father dying when she was little. Then, a few days later, he did die. Now, when Karen is fiften, she has dreams about a boy, Mark. He turns out to be a new boy in school. The only thing was that he showed up at her busstop on the first day of school. One day, Mark came over and asked if Karen wanted to babysit his younger brother. She accepted. A few nights after her first job, she starts having dreams about him. The dreams were about him dying, which was like her dad. Karen goes to visit her grandmother in New York because all of this is overwhelming. She went to get coffee and ran into Mark. They had coffee together. They went over the dreams and found out that they were having the SAME ONES! Vivian, her grandmother, helped them solve the dreams. She knew so much about them because she was the mother to Karen's dad. Soon, they figured out that they didn't have much time to get back home to save Brian. Will they make it in time?? This was one of the best books I have ever read. Ilene Cooper included lots of detail and stil made it an easy read. I would reccommend this book to a lot of people who like mysteries and suspense.

Dreams are Great! They're even better when they're understood

Karen is a high schooler who lives with her mom, stepdad, and stepsister. She experiences dreams that are very unusual. Her dreams happen to come true. This seems like a great thing to some of us, but it is not for Karen. She had a dream that her father dies in a serious car accident. Soon after her dream, he dies. So Karen wasn't surprised when she drempt about a boy, and he shows up at her bus stop. Karen soons finds herself babysitting his younger brother, Brian. Now Karen started having dreams about Brian. Her dream showed that Brian would die, too, in a terrible accident. Karen is determined to save Brian, but how will she do it? Karen must act fast and piece together a puzzle full of her past, and her future. I thought this book was full of excitment, mystery, and love. Each idea was connected with another idea that the author provided. This book definately kept my attention the entire time. This story should have a sequel. I think girls would enjoy it more than boys, but it is appropiate for boys to read. This book keeps you thinking about dreams and how we should treat our parents. You will never know when they will be taken away from you.

Dreams are Great! There even better when we understand them.

Karen is a high schooler who lives with her mom, stepdad, andstepsister. She has dreams that are very unusual, they come true. Shedreams of a very hansome boy. It turns out he is new to her school. Karen soon finds herself babysitting his younger brother. She has a dream that doesn't make any sense to her, and it involves the younger brother. Something very tragic happens to him in her dream. Karen has to find a way to save the boy's brother. However, she cannot do it alone. Who will help her? Does she ever save the boy's life? To find the answer to these questions, read the book! I thought this book was very interesting. Everything connected. It kept my interest throughout the whole story. I recommend this book for anyone who likes mystery, romance, and a novel that will keep your attention. I would definantly read more books by Ilene Cooper. She has skills in fully completing a story and leaves room for a sequel, if necessary. This book deserves a sequel! END

Karen's dreams foretell the future, if shc can understand.

A thriller, full of romance and mystery, that blends dreams that tell the future and hints of reincarnation with the loss of a parent and drunk driving into a gripping whole. 15-year-old Karen is a "plain Jane"-type who withdrew from her peers after the death of her father in a car crash years ago, which she dreamed about before it occurred. Now, she has spent a summer dreaming of romance with a handsome boy she has never met. When that boy, Mark, shows up at the bus stop on the first day of school, Karen is spooked. Soon the golden dreams have an ominous undercurrent as Karen begins dreaming of Mark's 6-year-old brother, Brian. Soon all three are dreaming about each other. The course of true love and real life never runs smooth. The pacing is suspenseful, with twists and turns to sustain interest and build to the climax. It is hinted that young Brian may be Karen's father reincarnated, and he may have prophetic abilities of his own when he takes an immediate dislike to Jenny, Mark's in-crowd girlfriend in a good use of subtle foreshadowing. On the whole, an effectively spooky read, where nothing bad really happens, but the mystery and portents keen the pages turning at a brisk pace. The unfortunate cover is a diservice to a great story. All loose ends are satisfyingly tied up, except for one, which hopefully equals a sequel.
