When the sun goes dark over Tenochtitlan, an ancient door opens beneath the earth.
Iktan is a young warrior-in-training, burdened by the legend of a father he can barely remember and haunted by the fear that he will never be worthy of his name. But during a sacred eclipse, the seal between the world of the living and Mictlan begins to break, and creatures born from the underworld rise among the temples, canals, and stone causeways of the great city.
As Tenochtitlan falls into terror, Iktan discovers that his blood is tied to the very door that keeps the dead below. Guided by the voice of Quetzalcoatl, hunted by ancient shadows, and protected by allies as brave as they are imperfect, he must search for sacred relics, face corrupted guardians, and uncover the truth about Acatl, his father - a warrior who did not die in battle as Iktan was led to believe.
But Mictlan is not only darkness.
And the gods have not told the whole truth.
From hidden temples and obsidian masks to divine powers and roads beneath the earth, Iktan must make an impossible choice: open the door to seek the father he lost, or protect the living from what waits on the other side.
Iktan and the Eclipse of Mictlan is an epic fantasy adventure inspired by Mexica mythology - a story of gods, monsters, friendship, sacrifice, and a young warrior who must learn that courage is not the absence of fear, but the choice to walk forward while fear walks beside him.
