Igor, the hunchbacked lab assistant of an evil scientist, dreams of winning first place in the annual Evil Science Fair and becoming a scientist himself. Based on the new animated feature film from... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Life in Malaria is amazing when you are an Evil Scientist; you get fame and fortune! On the other hand, if you are born with a hunch on your back, you become an "Igor"; a low class assistant to an Evil Scientist-never to be recognized! This story starts off with dark humor and is definitely going to make a fantastic movie! From the moment the rabbit named Scamper first tries (and fails) to kill himself because he is immortal, this tale proves to be entertaining! Igor is definitely smarter than the average "Igor" in Malaria, but because of his hunched back, he is discriminated against and even forced to use a slurred tone when speaking to his own Evil Scientist! An obvious twist of fate provides the opportunity for him, however, to prove that he can be a scientist-which is just what brings this story together! I would recommend this story for children aged at seven (and higher). The writing is smooth and perfect for intermediate readers. For adults, this is a wildly entertaining story because the author is quite capable of explaining a scene that is rather easy to imagine-while maintaining the mood! This is a quick read, but it is creative and humorous! If I could have given it more than five stars, I would have; I'm looking forward to the movie even more now!
