If Men Were God

If men were God, do you think you'll have that smile that blossomed and overthrown emotions? Do you think you would have that brain that shone? Do you think you can walk with those legs that sweep men off their feet without looking back and live? Many would look for a way to make you cripple. If men were God, would you still have the right to speak in this democratic world without been arrested?
Man's desire knows no bounds. Man will never and can never be satisfied. Man's existence is defined by his greed. Man is in essence a greedy being. This is the view of the sixteenth century thinker Thomas Hobbes as laid out in his seminal work The Leviathan.

Man is not God, and never will be, and our best hope of peace, either personally or collectively, resides in acknowledging this reality. Because "If men were God" and lord over us;
Our sins won't be forgiven
Our needs we will be starved
And our days will be devoid of love
They will deny the sky of its stars
Hide the sun under the clouds
They will make the dark night rule over the moonlight
Their reign will rain pain
For our breath we will pay chaos will be the lot of us
And death will be the reward of he who question them.
