Ichabod - Where is the Glory? comes to life through the beautiful illustrations of Eric Wein. The rhyming pattern makes it easy listening for younger children, and beginner readers. This story introduces children to the importance of treating animals with compassion and empathy. Children will also learn about disability, showing that we all have value and importance, in spite of our appearance. One night a disabled Alaskan Malamute named Ichabod finds himself as one of many dogs on a truck in East Asia. They are cold and scared when the truck is stopped by a rescue team. Ichabod and his friends are taken to a sanctuary where they receive medical care and food. They are given beds, shelter and treated with kindness. Ichabod enjoys receiving kindness more than anything It soon becomes clear that his heart on the inside, is as warm as his soft wooly coat on the outside. He loves both people and dogs, and one can't help but love him back. Ichabod has had a busy first year in the USA. He earned his certification as a therapy dog through Alliance of Therapy Dogs, was featured in People magazine and Detroit Free Press, and won the "Mally of the Year" contest through Alaskan Malamute Official Fan Club. Ichabod enjoys visiting children with special needs at the Friendship Circle, and the survivors of the Oxford High School shooting. He continues to demonstrate that challenges and trauma do not define us; we can still find joy in life.... Ichabod can be seen on Instagram: Ichabodtherapydog
