I recognize these people....

I've read books by Jon Stewart, Steve Martin, George Carlin and the like, and sometimes those books have made me chuckle a bit. This book actually made me laugh out loud. HIghly recommended!

Not just a chick book

When my wife came home with her copy of I Love You - Now Hush I thought it was just another "chick book" and I braced myself of the expected several nights of me attempting sleep while she read with the lights on. To my surprise my early slumber was disturbed by giggles, then laughs, a few guffaws, and one or two elbows followed by unexplained outbursts of "Ha, I told you so!" Learning the book was written in a point/counterpoint style, and Mr. Morgan's love of cigars and brown liquor giving me cover for my "chick book" phobia, I felt compelled to discover for myself the origin of the "I told you so" remarks. I am glad I did. Ms. Thompson is delightful and Mr. Morgan explains life from the side of the Southern Gentlemen. These two were quickly added to my list of the all time most entertaining fantasy dinner party replacing Margaret Thatcher and Greg Maddux. Controlled burns, fine suits, nice families, choir practice and jell-o tell it like it is. Mr. & Mrs. Big Butt at the mall, grandmother's favorite hat and attending the dinner party in a nice dress with the tag still on made me laugh out loud. Southern Gentlemen, we now have a voice in Mr. Morgan and a heroine and advocate in Ms. Thompson.

Gut-wrenching Funny!

I have to admit I was a little skeptical when I received a copy of I Love You - Now Hush for Christmas. I read all kinds of books so I gave it a try and could not put it down! My wife and kids each came to check on me in the back of the house, thinking that something was wrong with me (they thought I was wailing). No, it was just me letting out another gut-wrenching laugh! I highly recommend this book. However, please be warned that if you have any back ailments, you may want to brace for the laughter that is sure to come.
