In speaking with a friend of mine, she said she had just moved to Chipmunk Lane. I found the name so endearing and knew I had to write about it. I know how much kids love animals so I decided to put an odd grouping of different animals together in this book and why they loved Chipmunk Lane. I included the owner of Chipmunk Lane on the last page so as to give it a feeling of love and caring.
