A Welcome Change

As someone who loves to cook and already has too many cookbooks, Stacy's book is indeed a welcome change! How refreshing to read a cookbook that states the author's imperfection, but then goes on to instruct and inspire. I especially appreciate the "Stacy says" and the "Chef's notes" on each recipe. These "down to earth" comments are not only helpful, they make any cook feel empowered! The recipes are really great, as is the advice at the beginning of each chapter. The fact that proceeds from this book help a worthy cause (JDRF) is "icing on the cake". And you don't have to live in Charlotte to enjoy our wonderful restaurants and cuisine!

Yummy, witty, and for a good cause!!

I love this cookbook! The recipes are delicious, and for the most part easy to make. The fact that the book also makes money to support The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation just makes it that much better!

Nice book, GREAT cause!

I found this book to have several tasty AND simple recipes (I can't cook either). The stories the author tells are funny and some of them really hit home for me. The fact that she wrote this book to raise money for research for juvenile diabetes touches my heart because I love a child with juvenile diabetes and I'm looking forward to the day they find a cure. I'm glad I bought it, I use it..and I'm sure you will too.....Enjoy.
