Hyperfitness Review

After retiring from the U.S. Army Special Forces after 20 years of service, I felt a need to find a workout program that was as motivating and challenging as those that had been a part of that former journey. It had to fit timewise into my new civilian role as a chair-bound engineer that gets paid to use mostly only the brain. The workout series included in the book "Hyperfitness" puts one through challanges that stimulate the body's ability to increase multiple attributes including raw physical power, motor balance, muscle coordination, speed-reflex, mental alertness, testorone level, and mind-over-pain capacity. There is a lot of thought that went into these routines and the book has a life-path spiritual element, based on its author's life , that is refreshing.

Sean's book captures both the goal-oriented approach to realizing your fitness aspirations and creative mechanisms to help you achieve them. As a long-time runner and adventure racer, I found the exercises in Sean's book to be the best at keeping me motivated and challenging in many new ways. When combined with Sean's personal, amazing fitness explorations, and the nutritional aspects he includes, this book becomes a must read for those looking to take fitness to the next level.

Excellent/Most innovative in a long time!

Over the years I have completed numerous marathons and six full Ironman's. I've also purchased scores of books concerning nutrition and workout/strength training. In my opinion this book sets forth one of the most demanding yet interesting workout routines I have ever done. I'm confident that the workout program will be challenging if not extremely challenging to even the most fit individual. The innovative combination of strength training combining aerobic and anaerobic movements are effective yet can be completed in a realitivley short time frame of 45-60 minutes. I have recommended this book to numerous trainers and I believe it represents the next wave of popular exercise programs. If one performs this program as written there is simply no way one will not improve their fitness and strength.

Excellent - Two Books in One

I really liked this book. It really is kind of three books in one. The three components of hyperfitness (physical fitness, mental strength, and eating right) are all covered. I especially liked the really practical approach to the exercises, with photo demonstrations. I also liked that it's good for people at any level of fitness, because it's all about getting to the next level of fitness, no matter what level you are currently at.

Motivating and Simple

I met the author at a book signing and purchased a signed copy of this book. I went home and began to read it. As a mother of three rowdy kids I do not have a lot of free time on my hands. However, I made time to make my way down my "journey of self-dscovery" as Sean would call it. For too long I had been a mom and a wife. I have begun the journey to reclaiming MY personal goals and am looking forward to celebrating the small steps on the way. It has been a long time since I went to the gym so I have been trying out the Trekker workout for weeks 1 & 2. WOW!! They were challenging, I will not lie, but how exilirating I felt after. Oh and 30 minutes I devoted to the workout and completed it!! I couldn't believe what a great workout I had in just 30 minutes. This is a program I can fit into my hectic life. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to make a difference in their daily routine and have great workouts. I look forward to continuing the journey and "Conquering my Inner Everest". Hope to hear from those others who have started out.
