Great book for fans of Huckle and Lowly

Good story line, with less moralizing than some Scarry books (though still heavy on the helping out editorializing). A lovely day of getting ready, driving through town, going to school, baking a pie, searching for adventure, flying a kite, cleaning up, and bedtime. Some gender stereotypes, but none terribly offensive. (Mom is at home, Dad takes the train to work. Teacher is female; police officer and mechanic are male. Most others are gender neutral.)
