I got this initially for a story I'm writing- I wanted to gather some inspiration to pull from since my fantasy story DOES have a healthy dose of both science and superstition. This book didn't help me at all, but it was still really fun to flip through, and I'm not mad that I got it. The writing style is easy to read and the author put forth a lot of effort to communicate the facts and histories clearly. It's not one that I want to keep on my bookshelf (honestly, mainly because I have very limited space on my bookshelf lol), but I would recommend this book to someone who has an interest in cultural traditions in different places and time periods- there's a lot of cool stuff in this little book, and it would make for a fun ice breaker.
