Ways to find the right person without being a gold digger

I saw Ginie Polo-Sayles on Oprah and decided to check out her book. She offers a lot of helpful advice on dating & maintaining relationships. I was relieved that she didn't focus on being a gold digger but chose to suggest options for self-improvement, finding the right person to fit your needs (not just financially) and becoming aware of who you are involved with. Since I come from a upper middle class background & so do most of my friends I have seen what happens to women when they date below their own economic class. People think it's just men who get stuck with financial burdens during divorces but that isn't true! Some of my friends have had horrible settlements paying their husbands during the divorce! One friend in particular had a man use her for money & connections then financially took her to the cleaners in the divorce. (No she didn't have a prenuptial agreement but she should have!) Checking out a man's background before getting married & watching for warning signs would have helped her avoid what happened to her. In her book Ginie points out how to check out the man you are dating to see if he is for real. She also has a section on pre-nuptial agreements which is useful to make sure you are protected. The key is to know what you want from a relationship & making sure it's mutually beneficial. Despite the title she's not telling you to use men to get what you want. Ginie tells you to figure out your needs & wants then find the right man with whom you can enjoy a lifelong relationship. Use this book as a resource to find 'Mr. Right' & be ethical about it. Don't let people tell you it's game planning because it's not. No one can't play a game forever and most people will be on their best behavior while dating regardless of whether they read this book or not. Adjusting your habits (especially bad habits), improving your appearance & dating behavior is just common sense when you are trying to find a lifelong partner. I would recommend this book to anyone who hasn't found the right person yet & wants to find someone to fit into their desired lifestyle.

The essential guide to social engineering

I have given away every copy of this book I ever had - to computer security experts! The book explains the range of techniques that one can use to deliberately gain someone's trust by digging up private or semi-private information on them. Spies, private eyes, investigative journalists, etc., can all use the techniques, depending on how much they want to put on the line. Let's face it, most military secrets in the world were "sucked out" of the most trusted military leaders using exactly these methods: manipulation of social trust, deliberate setting-up of "coincidental" situations, small scale lies that exploit people's natural trust, etc.. Oh, yes, they're useful to marry the rich, too! When I was designing an internet dating system (webpersonals.com) i made some of my designers read this book. The women couldn't get enough of it, and it tended to make the men a little paranoid. But if there's even one Ginie Polo Sayles in the world, no one is safe! Better to know...!

How to Marry Rich

One word. Excellent. Judge the book by it's cover. Gini information is SO relevant...not only for thise wanting a man rich in financial terms but for ANYONE who desires a mate rich in character. Rules to live by...Gini is right on. This is a MUST BUY

Surprising lessons on having self-respect in relationships!

Considering how many men want submissive little mail-order brides from developing countries, or large silicon breasted blondes, or mindless ninnies, or whatever, I cannot get too upset about somebody wanting to marry a wealthy person. Having said that, I must admit this book surprised me because it teaches readers a lot about setting high standards in intimate personal relationships. Anyone (male or female) who feels they have ever allowed themselves to be treated less well than they deserve, or who feels they need to raise expectations regarding what is acceptable behavior from their partner, should benefit from this author's lessons in practical psychology. And if you find that you also want to marry rich, GO FOR IT. In any case, it seems a more honourable way to gain wealth than through the sort of vile and back-stabbing political behavior one often sees in the corporate world.
