Cynical, Sentimental and Slick

I bought this for my little sister who has had more than enough advice thrown at her. McKnight-Trontz skillfull rides that tense line between our real wish to be loved by others and our knowledge of how damaging the pursuit of popularity can be. The book isn't just sharply ironic, it is beautifully piece of graphic design.

You're gonna be pop-u-lar

I haven't read this book yet, but I feel I can speak on behalf of the fans of the musical Wicked, this book will make you popular! If nothing else, buy it because you're a fan of the musical, and you can honor Kristen by getting it. That's why I'm going to buy it!

Loved it!

I really loved this little book. It was cute, entertaining and to the point. It was short, simple and charming with a lot of good tips. I really liked the retro drawings and old fashioned but yet timeless advice. I really reccomend it for inspiration or as a novelty gift for someone who loves everything retro. If you are looking for a ground breaking, life changing, deeply spritual or psycological journey into the depths of what makes us likable human beings, this is probably NOT the book for you. However, if you are looking for a very fun, lighthearted read which will give basic (and at times laughable...lines like "Body odor is offensive" and "always leave the dance with the same boy who brought you" obvious but, true and funny) tips on how to make friends and make a good impression, then you'll love this book!...I have a sales based job where I work with people all day and I re-read this book from time to time as a reminder that being polished, clean, poised, humble, friendly and respectful of others feelings will bring me friends, clients and prosperity. Read it and try it for yourself. It really works!

GREAT BOOK

This is a great book and i recommend anyone who is not poular to purchase it. It has completly tunred my life around. Last year i was a "dork" no one wanted to talk to me and no one wanted to sit next tio me in lunch. After reading this book this summer i cant get people away from me. Thanks Jennifer McKnight!
