A Must Have When Buying Life's Biggest Assest!

Easy-to-read reference guide for anyone building a new or updating an existing home. The organized, detailed and consise format makes understanding all the terms you'll need to know a breeze and will allow you to make informed decisions working with architects and contractors on your project. Perfect as a desk reference for rehabbers, renovators and designers. Highly recommended, Mark Nash author "1001 Tips for Buying and Selling a Home."

An invaluable tool!

This book has been my bible in building my own home. I decided to use SIPs as a result of the advantages listed in the types of construction section and am delighted with the results. Before buying this book I bought a dozen books that didn't have all of the information that this one had. Plus, I wasted hours on the Internet trying to find the available options until I was able to focus using the suggested web sites in House About It. Anyone building their house needs to get this book first.

An incredibly informative resource guide

This book is incredibly informative. It is a resource guide and explains technical information in a clear understandable way. If you are building a home or renovating and don't want to rely on the contractor for all the explanations, this book will be very useful!

House About It

House About It is an empowering tool for all homeowners. This treasure-trove of useful information is worth its weight in gold!!

The other contractor's "Blue Book"

If you think you know how to build, re-build, or remodel a house, stop! Don't do anything until you read Sheri Koones' book, House About It. Her book will save you an enormous amount of time and money from the tips, techniques, and resources it provides. Personal story: I showed my copy of the book to my husband's friend and within seconds of opening the book he became very excited and said to my husband, "Look! This is exactly what I was trying to explain to you!" Pamela La Gioio Editor Your Life! Magazine http://www.yourlifemagazine.com
