Super Workbook by Hooked on Phonics for 2nd grade

Just received the Super Workbook by Hooked On Phonics for the 2nd grade. I plan on having my son work on this book this summer for review. It's very colorful which will make it more interesting for him. Some of the work does seem more like 1st grader work or review so that's why I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars, but we can always skip that part so he won't get bored.

Good Workbook

I haven't still started with this workbook, but we did finish the First grade book and it was really fun way to learn. My son loved the charts and reward sticker system.

Good for extra homework

My son is in 1st grade and does the activities after school each day. He doesn't think it's a very challenging workbook, but it's great for keeping him busy. At his age, the sticker trails aren't much for motivation (he doesn't bother with them and lets his little sister have the stickers), but video game time seems to be more appropriate.

Excellent book for making learning fun!

I was expecting this book to be similar to the Hooked on Phonics cd series but I found it to be slightly better for my son. He is a video game freak but this book acually holds his attention and he loves to work in it - especially the Spelling section! I would highly recommend this book to any parent who is trying to get a jump-start on the second grade for their child.

Hooked on 2nd grade

I got this book for my daughter to work on during the summer. It's a bunch of second grade book titles combined in one. I liked the activities, especially in the phonics portion.
