Great Read

This was a wonderful book! It catches you from the first page, and you can't put it down. It was one of those books where you want to finish it to see what happens, but then you don't want to finish it because that would be the end of the whole experience. I finished this book in a few hours, and it was like watching a movie! Once again, it was a great read!

Bonds Of Brotherhood

Follow Kay Kay's journey from a young boy who pulled off his first robbery at age twelve through adulthood, and experience a gripping tale of a man's commitment to the code of the streets. As Kay Kay shakes up the streets of Brooklyn while making a name for him self; meet the characters who come along for the ride, some to guide and teach him, while others to watch him fall. Author A.C Clayton presents a well rounded novel that allowed me into the mind of a man whose survival instincts kicked in when necessary; but who wasn't afraid to step out of the box...and question himself. I am looking forward to this author's next novel... "A.C... what's up with Precious?" Locksie ARC Book Club Inc.

bone chilling, riveting tale of murder and mayhem

Honor Amongst Thieves is a bone-chilling, riveting tale of murder, mayhem and redemptions, which vividly highlights the crimes existence in Brooklyn most prolific underworld gangster, Kameck "Kay-Kay" Barnes. The way the story was written, you were allowed to know Kay-Kay every thoughts, whether you agreed with them or not. A.C. Clayton style of writing is very descriptive, intriguing from the very first page to the last; the plot had many twists and turns, the writing, all the characters have different but interesting personalities, and some of the messages conveyed in this piece of work. I had the pleasure of meeting A.C. Clayton at the Harlem book fair, and was very intrigue by the way he describe Honor Amongst Thieves. I actually stopped reading this book, when I only had 15 more pages left to read, not wanting to finish right away. I was determined to hold off, and wait on writing this review. No matter how much I tried, I couldn't do it, the book just kept calling me to pick it up. Your probably thinking I'm crazy, but this novel is just that good. Usually the aspect of literature that draws me in is the writing, and I believe with this book A.C. Clayton was doing just that. "I don't deal with knuckle heads and anyone who deals with me plays by these rules; it's all about respect. Give everyone including the hacks respect. You do this because in return you demand nothing less. Speak only when directly spoken to and not before.Otherwise, keep your mouth shut. This is not The Fever or some other nightclub, this is prison. You're not here to mingle and become popular. You're here to survive." From a rating of 1-10, I give this book a 10, I can only imagine what A.C. next project will be. Shaifire Urbanfirebooks/Urbanhottnessbooks
