Holiday Story

This book is listed as paperback. As far as I can find out it was only published in Hardback. I have ordered twice trying to get paperback and each time receive Hardback. Wish they would fix as I can’t hold hardback books.

For this email loop of stay-at-home moms, the weeks before Christmas are anything but jolly. Trying to balance housework, home crises and the husband without losing your mind needs therapeutic help. Better reach for your laptop--and your on-line friends. Veronica has just learned she's expecting her first baby. She's excited--and scared. Attending her first childbirth class, she's convinced that if she had any inkling of the pain to follow, she never would have allowed her husband to wink at her, much less kiss her. Zelia is battling her mother-in-law about whether to come to Europe or stay at home for Christmas. Dulcie's husband loses his job, and she's forced to go back to work. Will Dulcie even be allowed to stay on the SAHM-I Am list? And when the holidays threaten total madness--will good feelings prevail? @ Home for the Holidays is the sequel to SAHM-I-Am, but it easily stands alone. It was good to catch up with Dulcie, Zelia, Rosalyn, and the rest of the women on the e-loop. The fighting between Veronica and her sister continue on-line, but the ladies are still there for each other, to support, encourage, and generally offer friendship. I laughed out loud in several spots of the book and made my husband stop what he was doing to listen. I think every woman needs to be in an e-loop like this where they can form open, honest friendships. And even though this e-loop is fictional, I enjoyed catching up with all the characters and learning what is happening in their lives. I hope that Ms. Efkens has another book planned for this series. @ Home for the Holidays is a book you will not want to miss this Christmas. Discussion questions are included at the end. $13.95. 390 pages.

a bitter-sweet romance=>very nice

this is the first Johanna Lindsey book i'v ever read. i liked the story a lot and thought that the concept was very special. a very nice romance novel. it was bitter, yet sweet but most of all it really was a nice story.i mean it's alwayz the kool guy uses a good way to get a gurl. but this one was different. and in the end it turns out ok. though this book had quite a few difficult words, i liked the story a lot. i had my nose stuck in it. after reading this book, i had a very strong will to read more of Ms.lindsey's novels. i read a few of the reviews for this book and it seems that most readers don't enjoy the book as much as i did. but i would still recommend this book to readers and especially people who would read ms.lindsey's book for the first time to get warmed up in her magic world. other readers say that her other boox are much better then this one, so i'll b looking forward to reading them

Love It

I enjoyed the book , I know others didn't . Johanna Lindsey never lets me down .A great read anytime .

Lindsey For The Holidays!

After reading the book, I decided to see what other readers had to say in their reviews. I was a surprised to see that a greater majority of the reviews were against the book....that is, saying it was not up to "Lindsey standard". The book was short but very entertaining. The story line was a little obvious, as others have mentioned, but its a great read for those who want to just sit back, relax and enjoy a good book. I am a great fan of Johanna Lindsey. Only one or two of her books have been unentertaining to me, but the rest were absolutely fantastic!

Sweet Holiday Love Story

This was a sweet book. I enjoyed the characters -- it reminded me of Dicken's Christmas Carol, at first, with a sickly brother and a heartless landlord -- but he really did have a heart, after all. I love Johanna Lindsey's books. This is yet another great one. I hope she writes a story for every Christmas to come. :)
