In the 1950s, the editorial staff of the popular children's magazine "Highlights for Children" put out a series of classroom aids for teachers, featuring short stories and arts-&-crafts ideas for the holidays (throughout the year, including Valentine Day, Easter, and Mother's Day). This was their second installment, from 1954. With few exceptions -- decorating a Maypole for May, perhaps -- there is nothing dated about the "184 creative suggestions" held within. Santas made from construction paper and cotton balls are pretty much timeless. Appropriate for elementary school-age children and below.
