With Masahiro being Kousuke's secret wife, the Ohshiba family (Kousuke, Ken, Miho, Shigeo, and Sasa) accepts Masahiro as one of their family, which is good because Megumi Setagawa is a terrible mother. While Masahiro enjoys his bliss with his fiancée, Megumi decides to use her son's hard-earned money to pay for her drinks. It gets even worse when she finds Masahiro's engagement ring, thinking she can sell it. With so few options, Masahiro takes his ring and runs away, only to end up at Asaya's place (making Asaya agitated). With the comfort of Masahiro's friends – well, at least his friend Ken – Ken talks to Kousuke on the phone for Masahiro and explains part of what happened. Later, Kousuke ends up at Mary's and talks to Natsuo, who secretly tries to tear Kousuke away from Masahiro. How will Masahiro deal with this bartender as he tries to steal Masahiro's man away from him? This story is so tense. Plus, there's mention of the new religion (only in Hitorijime My Hero) called Hasekuraism. A cult of girls wearing pointed face covers worship Asaya Hasekura and ensure no girl gets close to Asaya. And lastly, Shigeo stays a loyal dog to the family.
I love the main story and the bonus stories at the end of each book. Kousuke has to get a bunch of work done for the next day but is too tired to do any of it until he gets an energy boost from Masahiro. The other short story shocked me because it focuses on Matsuzawa's crush on Ayaka (first shown in Hitorijime Boyfriend, but that book didn't come out till later). I know that Matsuzawa admires Kousuke, so it stunned me. I feel sorry for Matsuzawa because Ayaka is already married. I'm curious if Memeco Arii and the Hitorijime My Hero anime producers will include this bonus story in the second season (if they make one, that is). Anyway, I love this story. I would recommend this series to anyone who loves reading BL manga. Can't wait for the next one.
