For once, the man seems more in love with the woman!

I really loved this book. Story: the lead male is a race car driver named Rafael who jet-sets all over the world, is arrogant alpha-male but with a twist: he is head over heels in love with the lead female character, and his thoughts are also there for us to read (I really love this trend), which shows us that he deeply cares for this woman much more than he lets her realize. He even bends over backwards at times, to try to get her back into his life. The lead female is named Eden, a journalist. When their relationship ended 4 years previously, she went to cover a dangerous story at a war-torn area and the back-story on this alone is quite interesting. Rafael & Eden were set up to mistrust each other by another person, and they meet up 4 years later. Since then, she has scars from a serious injury, and is afraid to show this man out of fear he will reject her. He is surrounded by women in bikinis constantly with his job, so she is even more afraid of his rejection. However, she also mistrusts him for not believing in her 4 years ago. The way Rafael helps her overcome her fears is so heartwarming and perfect. I loved the way the author told this storyline. These 2 characters find a way to believe in each other again, which is at times achingly touching. This is a wonderful story, and the lead female has real backbone, ladies! She stands up to the love of her life and doesn't slink away or back down from him at all, which I think is a refreshing change. I highly recommend this book. It was well-written, and the story keeps one's interest from beginning to end. If you have favorite author names to share with me, I'd love to hear from you!
