Highway Witness

The narrative follows the Barker's family traveling on a highway. They come across a worn-out green station wagon with a girl gazing mournfully from the window. Later, they coincidentally encounter the same individuals at a restaurant and check into the same motel. During a swim at the hotel pool, Seth Barker notices a link between the despondent girl in the station wagon and a boy named Billy, who is swimming with Seth Barker and his sister Holly Barker. The following morning, the police arrive at the motel to inquire about a missing girl.
