Highland Warrior

Gillian MacKay meets Ross MacKenna on the battlefield. Their clans have been enemies for as long as anyone can remember. Attempting to create peace once and for all, Gillian's father insists that she marry Ross so their clans can unite. Ross is willing to try, the passion that ignites between them is enough for him, but Gillian is determined to hate Ross regardless of how he stirs her passions. Jealous mistresses and disgruntled suitors are just some of the obstacles in Ross' and Gillian's way toward finding peace for their clans and themselves. In Highland Warrior Gillian is strong and brave; she holds her own against anyone and Ross is handsome, fierce and protective. They are very compatible, but they have trouble seeing it. I liked the storyline in Highland Warrior very much it's exciting and romantic, but I wish that Gillian and Ross hadn't fought their attraction through most of the book. another Mason keeper!

Okay, I admit it; I'm a sucker for a good cover and Mason always gets the best ones! However, what has kept reading coming back to her for over 4 dozens books is she delivers novels worth reading. I always feel like I got the `price of the ticket'. In this book, Mason once again heads to the Highlands. The MacKays and MacKenna's have a long-standing feud, so when the Laird of the MacKays loses another son, he's determined to see the deaths stop. To this end, he offers his daughter in married to handsome Ross MacKenna. Ross, too, feels it's time for the killing to stop, so he agrees to marry Gillian. Only, Gillian isn't too thrilled to be shoved into a political marriage. It's an uneasy truce, this battleground called marriage. Ross desires Gillian, but doesn't trust her. Gillian is resistant but soon begins to fall in love with him. Just as they are finding a middle ground in their lives, there are a series of attacks against the MacKays. Ross blames Gillian and banishes her, sending her into sphere of the real enemy. Mason proves she is still the Queen of Romance, no matter the period. Her fans will adore this one, another keeper for the Mason shelf!

Highland Warrior

Fun book, lot's of twist and turns. I have been reading Connie Mason's books for years. Although this book is predictable, it was fun to read. From brave Gillian the warrior woman, to Ross the exteme manly man, I love how the love-hate relationship grew to love and trust. Great read..sexy,erotic, and action pack adventure.

Enjoyable Read

Good storyline, although the hero lacked common sense at times I still enjoyed the book. As always Ms. Mason provided her readers with hot love scenes. This is one I recommend.
