Rakshasas are often depicted as uncivilized beings who always used to disrupt the Yagnas and kill the Rishis and Rishikas, without knowing their point of view . But what if they were just human beings living in the jungle, protecting their area and their way of life, calling themselves as Rakshakas. This book is a short story of one such Rakshaka whose interactions with the central characters of Mahabharata, Bhima and the other Pandavas is in a way the story of India, where different cultures or ways of life have always been mingling with each other for thousands of years. Perhaps the intensity of interaction varied from time to time but the fact that intermingling of genes, races, cultures, and ideas have shaped this great civilization is beyond doubt and this will continue to happen till the end of eternity.
