New to the Chicago Police Department's homicide division, Detective Melissa Vega thought nothing could make her sick until she and her colleague, Chief Detective Jonah Marks, discovered a lady whose face had been severed from her body. Marks thinks her sick ex is to blame, but soon another body turns up with the same method of death. When Vega and Marks pick him up from the psychiatric hospital where he's been residing since he was eight years old, Vega finds that his knowledge derives from a personal diagnosis of psychopathy. Now that the unsettling Archer has taken an interest in her, Vega must determine whether or not she can trust him. Can this group locate the Face Stealer? Or, another criminal psychopath may kill Detective Vega by stabbing her in the back.
