After the writing of this book, it was at that point that I realized how mighty and powerful the words that David wrote in 2 Samuel 22:3 are.

I realize how blessed I was, even during the hardest times of my life, especially my childhood.

David's words in 2 Samuel 22:3

"My God is my rock in whom I find protection, He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence,"

You see, the violence for me wasn't just the physical, it was the mental.

As you read this book and learn my journey, not just what was done by others but also my self because of the abuse, I hope you can see that, no matter what you've been through, God has a plan. It may not look like it right now or even feel like it, but allow me to walk you through my journey and show you how for 40-some years I mentally kicked, screamed and fought against anything and everything that was trying to help me because I did not trust anyone or believe that they could love me.

The book will allow you to see the symptoms of your trauma because, as I learned, even after the trauma was gone, the symptoms were still there just like reside left behind from a fire.

It is my prayer that as you read through all of the valleys, hills. highways and byways of my life, you can find your healing on your way to deliverance.
